Section 46
Single point service center
(1) A single point service center can be established in the office for project survey permission, letter of understanding, investment permit or contract for the project to be implemented in accordance with this Act and for supporting and facilitating the project.
(2) The single point service center established in accordance with sub-section (1) will have employees working in whole or in part representing the relevant offices from the relevant ministries, departments, authorities, public institutions, Nepal Rastra Bank and other bodies of the Government of Nepal.
(3) The functions, duties and powers of the Single Point Service Center shall be as under:-
(a) To evaluate the proposal received for investment and proceed with the necessary process for approval,
(b) Providing other registrations, permits and approvals including company registration, tax registration, industry registration, foreign exchange permit,
(c) Co-ordinating and facilitating the provision of work permits, visas and permits (d) To facilitate the acquisition of private land required for the project,
(e) Providing government land or forest area land required for the project on lease after completing the process according to the prevailing law,
(f) Arranging arrangements for providing approval for environmental studies,
(g) Facilitate the necessary infrastructure structure for the project (h) To provide financial and non-financial facilities as prescribed according to prevailing laws and agreements,
(i) Arranging arrangements for providing foreign currency equivalent facilities,
(J) Doing other coordination and facilitation work required for the project.
